Our story

Built by people who know what it costs to care.

CompanionVoice started with a simple, painful observation: the people who love someone with dementia are slowly being worn down by a problem no one talks about — the calls.

Not the big moments. The small ones. The same question, answered with patience at 8am, again at 9am, again at noon, and then twice before dinner. The call at 2am from a mother who doesn't know what year it is but needs to hear a familiar voice. The guilt of letting it go to voicemail because you are in a meeting, or driving, or simply too exhausted to pick up.

Caregivers for people with dementia carry an invisible weight. They are on-call around the clock, emotionally depleted, and often doing it entirely alone. The standard advice — take breaks, ask for help — rarely accounts for what that actually looks like at 3am.

We built CompanionVoice to give caregivers something back. Not a replacement for human connection, but a tool that can hold space when you can't — one that sounds like you, responds like you, and carries the same warmth your loved one has trusted for decades.

The technology is remarkable, but the goal is simple: your loved one feels safe and heard. You get to sleep through the night.

What we believe

Caregiving is not a burden to be optimised. It is love, expressed under impossible conditions.

We are not trying to make caregiving efficient. We are trying to make it sustainable — so you can show up as yourself for the moments that count.

Familiarity is medicine. For someone with dementia, hearing your voice is an act of care.

Research consistently shows that familiar voices reduce anxiety, agitation, and distress in people with cognitive decline. CompanionVoice is built on that foundation.

You deserve rest. Not because you have earned it. Because you are human.

Caregiver burnout is not a personal failure. It is a structural one. We built CompanionVoice to be part of the infrastructure that supports you.
